Need help? Request deletion by email
Email Scripture Lens support from the email address you use to sign in, if possible. Include your sign-in email and ask us to delete your Scripture Lens account and associated data.
Email deletion requestThis opens a draft in your email app. Send the message to submit your request. If no email app opens, copy this address into your email service:
scripturelensbibleapp@gmail.comWe will confirm account ownership, explain any further steps and the expected completion date, and reply when your request is completed. If you no longer have access to your sign-in email, contact us from an address you can use and explain that.
Never send your password, PIN, recovery code, or a child’s personal information.
What your request covers
- Your Scripture Lens account data and synchronized notes, bookmarks, highlights, study documents, and reading progress.
- Your group memberships, posts, shared progress, block list, and hidden-content preferences.
- Feedback, uploaded attachments, and identifiable app usage records associated with your account.
Automatic deletion also removes safety reports and moderation records directly linked to your account. Before deleting, choose a new admin for groups you lead or confirm closing a group where you are its last active member. Other members’ content stays in transferred groups.
A minimal record of your app-specific sign-in identifier, deletion status, and timestamps is retained for 90 days after completion to prevent older sessions from restoring deleted data. It contains no email, notes, or uploaded files and is removed during normal app requests after expiry. File identifiers are retained while file removal is still pending, then cleared.
Automatic deletion removes data controlled by the app; it does not erase downloaded copies held by other people or independently retained provider security logs, email-delivery records, or backups. Contact support for help with provider records. We will explain applicable retention periods and any security or legal exception when handling that request.
Deleting your Scripture Lens data does not delete the ChatGPT account you use to sign in.
Data saved on your devices
Automatic deletion clears this browser’s saved study state and tells other open app tabs to stop syncing. It does not remotely erase copies on other devices, downloaded audio, or exported PDFs. Save anything you want to keep, sign out on each device, and clear Scripture Lens site data in your browser settings to remove remaining local copies. Delete exported files separately.
Parent controls and PIN recovery are tied to a browser, separately from your account. A parent can remove the current parent-control record and lesson progress in Age & parent controls. Disable the private-study lock while online to remove its recovery record. Contact support if you need help with either; do not send your PIN or recovery secrets.
